About
Hi, I'm Troy.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Portland, Oregon. For the past eight years I've worked alongside people moving through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and the kinds of life transitions that don't come with a roadmap.
My goal is simple: to be the kind of therapist I would have wanted — steady, honest, non-judgmental, and willing to do the real work alongside you.

Depending on the weather, we might do a session outdoors — forest bathing, a walk, or simply sitting in the fresh air. If it's raining we can retire indoors and enjoy our time that way.

Our rainy/cold day hideaway.
My approach
I draw from evidence-based modalities — including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused approaches, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing — and tailor the work to who you actually are, not a protocol. Therapy with me tends to be warm and direct. We'll spend time understanding what's happening, then build practical tools you can use between sessions.
Collaborative
You set the pace and the priorities.
Practical
Insight plus skills you can use this week.
Non-judgmental
Whatever you bring, you're safe here.
Who I work with
Adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, substance use and recovery, relationship challenges, and the unique pressures faced by veterans and first responders — along with identity, life transitions, and the long tail of difficult experiences that shape how we move through the world.
